Following the launch of our Community Values Team earlier this year, Harrison Drury decided to launch its first ‘official’ Christmas campaign to raise funds and donate their time to worthy causes.
The whole firm were able to join in with a range of activities such as filling shoeboxes to be sent overseas, producing food hampers for families in Preston and Kendal, and dressing up as elves to assist in Santa’s grotto at Preston’s St George’s Shopping Centre.
The support from our staff has been overwhelming with the firm producing 24 shoeboxes for young children, which have been donated to International Aid Trust for those who may not receive anything this Christmas.
There were also 10 brimming food hampers kindly prepared for Luv Preston, who will share these out within the local communities for families who need them most over the festive period.
The firm has also supported Galloways Society for The Blind for many years over Christmas, and 2018 was no exception. Volunteers across the firm offered their time to wrap presents for a donation to the charity for its annual Santa’s grotto.
To finish off the campaign, the firm also supported National Christmas Jumper Day with staff coming into work in their festive knitwear in aid of Save the Children and Shelter.
HD’s Community Values Team hopes to build on the success of 2018 and be able to support even more charities in the new year, with lots of exciting activities having been planned for 2019 for our local communities and charities.
