Ellena graduated with her law degree from the University of Leeds in the summer of 2024. From there, she went on to work as a Paralegal within the Insolvency and Commercial Litigation department of a Lancashire based firm. During this time, Ellena gained considerable insight into both personal and corporate insolvency matters and was able to assist clients on either side of bankruptcy and winding up-petitions. Further, she was able to acquire hands on litigation experience through her involvement in commercial disputes, notably assisting with the defence of a high-value injunction.

Ellena joined Harrison Drury in September 2025 and is currently enrolled on the Solicitor Apprenticeship scheme with BPP Law School where she is studying towards her Solicitors Qualifying Exams. To date, Ellena has gained qualifying work experience with the Land and Property Dispute Resolution Team where she was able to strengthen her commercial knowledge whilst assisting the Team with fast paced litigious matters. Ellena is currently undertaking a seat in Harrison Drury’s Employment Team and continues to build on her commercial skillset from the Firm’s Manchester office.

Outside of work you can find me…

Outside of work, Ellena likes to enjoy live music events with her friends and recently attended Prima Vera Sound in Barcelona where she saw many of her favourite artists perform live. Ellena has also taken up running and took part in the Great Manchester Run where she completed the 10-kilometre race. She continues to run and hopes to be able to beat her time next year!
