Celebrating 125 years of supporting clients, people and communities

Harrison Drury are delighted to be celebrating 125 years of making it possible 1901 – 2026.

Harrison Drury is marking its 125th anniversary in 2026 with a commitment to continue supporting our clients, people and communities.

Our firm can trace its roots back to 1901 when William Henry Coupe began practising as a solicitor from an upstairs office in Lune Street, Preston.

Today we’ve grown to have more than 220 colleagues and nine offices across the North of England, being there for our clients and working closely with our charity and community partners to build social value through our responsible business activity.

In the run up to our 125th anniversary we’ve been investing significantly in our workspaces and in initiatives to help our people develop their careers to ensure Harrison Drury remains one of the Best Companies to Work For in the UK.

We’ve also invested in new software to introduce AI workflows this year, which aims to support our teams with delivering even better service and strengthening client relationships.

Simon England, managing partner of Harrison Drury, said: “125 years is a big milestone for any organisation and while it’s great to look back and celebrate our achievements, we want to continue looking forward.

“We want to ensure we remain one of the best workplaces in the UK for the long term, to continue being recognised as experts in our respective fields, making it possible for our clients, and remaining at the heart of our communities.”

Throughout 2026, we are continuing to grow our services and sector specialisms by attracting, retaining and developing outstanding people and teams.

We’re also supporting nine staff-nominated charities through firm-wide fundraising and volunteering efforts. We also became a Founder Patron of Preston Youth Zone and sponsored the Proud Preston Awards, paying further homage to our roots in this milestone year.

“As we always have done, we’re supporting local charities and community initiatives in all of the areas where we have offices,” adds Simon. “It’s part of our long-term commitment to corporate responsibility, something that’s always been part of the DNA of Harrison Drury.”

We will celebrate the 125th anniversary as part of various client events taking place throughout the year, culminating in a big celebration at our annual staff awards at the end of the year
