Apprentice Solicitor
Commercial BusinessEthan is a Solicitor Apprentice at Harrison Drury, currently undertaking a series of six‑month seats in different departments while progressing toward qualification as a solicitor.
In his first rotation, Ethan completed a six‑month seat in the firm’s Employment team, where he supported experienced employment law solicitors and HR professionals with Employment Tribunal matters, restrictive covenant pursuits, settlement agreements, day‑to‑day HR advisory work, workplace investigations as well as disciplinary and grievance processes.
During his apprenticeship, Ethan also spent six months on secondment with a national retail business, assisting their in‑house team with HR and employee relations matters, Employment Tribunal cases as well as commercial projects with business wide impact. This experience provided Ethan with an opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the business’ in-house team and gain sector specific experience in the retail sector.
Following his secondment, Ethan undertook a six‑month seat in the Corporate team, assisting the team’s specialist corporate solicitors on a variety of matters including business mergers and acquisitions, investment arrangements, company restructures, and corporate governance matters.
Currently, Ethan is undertaking a 6-month seat in the Commercial team where he helps the team support clients to ensure they have the appropriate commercial agreements in place that fit the business’ purposes, protect their interests, and support growth.
Before commencing his apprenticeship in September 2024, Ethan worked at the firm as a paralegal supporting the employment team.
Prior to joining the firm as a paralegal in February 2023, Ethan worked as a civil litigation paralegal, gaining experience in litigation and data protection law.
Ethan holds an undergraduate degree in Law and Classical Studies from the University of Liverpool where he graduated in 2021.

Ethan enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports including Football and Cricket. He is a lifelong Brighton and Hove Albion fan and a season ticket holder since 2009.
Ethan also loves spending quality time with family and friends.
