Faraz is a Senior Associate in the construction team, working across the Manchester and Preston offices. Faraz specialises in contentious construction work, acting for contractors, employers, subcontractors and consultants in disputes, from the first signs of a problem through to final resolution.

Faraz has acted for recognised clients operating nationally and internationally, and has worked with businesses in sectors including hospitality, leisure, retail, sports and education. This experience gives Faraz a practical understanding of the commercial pressures these clients face when a project goes wrong.

Faraz advises on breach of contract, payment and valuation disputes, delay and disruption and loss and expense claims, defects and professional negligence. Faraz has experience of adjudication, Technology and Construction Court proceedings and mediation. Clients value a pragmatic approach that focuses on the outcome they need, whether that is a swift adjudication decision, a negotiated settlement or a robust defence at trial.

Outside of work you can find me…

Faraz can usually be found in the gym or out enjoying the great outdoors. He is also working hard on improving his padel game, though the results are still a work in progress. A lifelong Manchester United supporter, he has learned to handle disappointment calmly….
