Commercial BusinessClaire advises UK and international businesses on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property, commercial and competition matters, bringing more than 20 years’ experience as a solicitor.
She has acted for clients ranging from individual entrepreneurs to multinational brands, advising on complex intellectual property disputes involving trade marks, copyright, patents, design rights and reputation management. Claire has conducted proceedings before the IPEC, High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, and has been involved in a number of significant cases concerning well-known consumer brands and cross-border intellectual property disputes.
Alongside dispute resolution, Claire provides strategic advice on the protection, enforcement and commercialisation of intellectual property portfolios, as well as competition law and regulatory compliance. She is recognised as a Notable Practitioner by Managing IP, a Leader in the 2026 World Intellectual Property Review and a Key Lawyer in The Legal 500.
Claire has particular expertise advising businesses across a range of sectors, including entertainment, leisure, retail, fashion, construction, media, healthcare and sport, delivering commercially focused solutions tailored to their objectives.
Outside of work you can find me…
Outside of work, when not running around after her three children, Claire enjoys keeping fit and active through running and strength training. She regularly takes part in park runs and has completed both the Great North Run and Manchester 10K. She also enjoys trying out new recipes in the kitchen, regularly hosting dinner parties for friends and family.
