Commercial BusinessAsima advises on a diverse and predominantly contentious intellectual property caseload, covering all aspects of IP law. She has significant experience acting for clients in disputes across the full range of IP rights, including trade marks and passing off, copyright, design rights, database right, patents and misuse of confidential information.
She has worked with household name brands and businesses across a wide range of sectors, with particular experience in retail, fashion and consumer goods. Asima regularly advises both public and private sector clients and is experienced in working closely with in-house legal teams as part of a collaborative and integrated approach.
A key part of Asima’s practice involves providing strategic advice on brand enforcement and IP risk management, supporting clients through product and brand development, while protecting valuable assets. She has successfully led claims before the High Court, the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, and regularly resolves disputes through alternative dispute resolution, including domain name and company name proceedings.

Outside work, Asima enjoys staying active and regularly plays squash, alongside practising Reformer Pilates to unwind.
She enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with family and friends, often making the most of the outdoors whenever she can.
