Insolvency & RestructuringHeather is a Partner in the insolvency team having joined Harrison Drury in 2025.
After completing her Law degree at Lancaster University and the Legal Practice Course in Christleton, Heather went on to qualify as a solicitor and work for large national and international firms and in house.
With over 15 years of legal experience, Heather’s most recent role was that of in-house counsel providing insolvency support to a private equity fund and so she is well adept in advising any stakeholder involved in an insolvency situation from Insolvency Practitioners, litigation funders, lenders, boards or creditors to individuals, often on very time sensitive matters.
Heather has a focus on contentious insolvency proceedings both corporate and personal and is regularly instructed to issue and defend applications made under the Insolvency Act 1986. These claims include breach of duty, transactions at an undervalue, preferences, wrongful and fraudulent trading and possession proceedings.
Heather is part of the Leisure Sector Team at Harrison Drury and is actively involved in promoting the firm’s offering in Manchester. Heather works closely with the Licensing and Property teams to offer advice and support to various clients in the hospitality and tourism sector such as pubs, bars and restaurants regarding distressed situations. Heather is also a member of R3 the insolvency trade body.
