Share

Katie Kozlowska, 27, from Penwortham, has joined the firm after completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

Katie, who also gained a first class honours law degree at UCLan, will work with the firm’s commercial property team initially and will also gain experience of employment law and dispute resolution as part of her two years of training.

The former Runshaw College and All Hallows Catholic High School student said: “Having lived and studied in the area all my life, I was aware of Harrison Drury as a prominent, reputable and growing firm. I also did some work experience here during my degree, so I know the people well, which also helps. It feels great to have now secured a training contract here and to have the opportunity to learn from some of the best solicitors in the region.”

Owen McKenna, partner at Harrison Drury, said: “Katie is promising young lawyer who I’m sure will be an asset to the firm and its clients. We’ve just had two of our recent trainees complete their training contracts and secure employment with us and Katie’s appointment is a further sign of our commitment to recruit and train the best local legal talent.”

Katie gained a distinction in her Legal Practice Course, which is taken by all those seeking to become a solicitor. As part of her training contract she is also taking the Professional Skills Course which is also a pre-requisite for qualifying as a solicitor.
