Professional Background:
Mike qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and has since specialised exclusively in in commercial property matters. During that period, 15 years were spent working in major City Centre practices and Mike has also worked for some of the largest commercial property and development clients in the region.
In particular, Mike deals with:
- The sale and acquisition of both vacant and multi-let commercial properties
- The negotiation of development agreements, including property options and conditional contracts, overage agreements, planning agreements, long leasehold arrangements and joint venture agreements
- Advising on landlord and tenant matters, including the negotiation and completion of leases and lease renewals, dealing with lease disputes and general leasehold management work
- Advising lenders and funders in providing property finance for property and development projects
Personal Interests:
Mike is a keen runner and in 2015 completed the 170-mile Marathon Des Sables in the Sahara desert, among other ultra-marathons that he’s recently run. This has taken up much of
Mike’s leisure time over the last few years, but he is also an avid reader of both fiction and factual literature.
