Victoria has practiced in private client litigation for over a decade. She practices in the High Court, County Court, Probate Registry and Court of Protection.
Victoria specialises in will validity challenges including bringing and defending claims where the deceased has: been unduly influenced to create a will; lacked capacity to create a will; didn’t know or approve of the contents of the will; where the will has not been executed properly; and where the will is a forgery. Victoria also specialises in disputes where the deceased hasn’t left a will.
Victoria’s inheritance and estate practice includes disputes between executors, beneficiaries and disappointed beneficiary claims (inheritance act claims). Claims to remove personal representatives and directions applications against personal representatives. Her experience in estate litigation extends to the Probate Registry including the blocking of grants of probate (caveats and warnings), the issue of summons and applications for an inventory and account of an estate.
Victoria also specialises in trust disputes including between beneficiaries, trustees, actions to remove trustees and variations of trusts.
Victoria also regularly deals with proprietary estoppel claims, financial abuse claims, disputes relating to the validity of gifts, disputed deputyship applications in the Court of Protection and claims pursuant to the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
