Jennifer Couchman to lead wills, trusts and probate team at Harrison Drury

Harrison Drury has made partner Jennifer Couchman the new head of its wills, trusts and probate team.

Jennifer, who is based in our Stoke-on-Trent office, will assume overall responsibility for leading the service across our nine regional offices.

Jennifer joined Harrison Drury in December 2025, bringing with her significant experience advising clients on wills, probate, succession planning, inheritance tax planning, trusts, family investment companies, and agricultural and landed estate matters.

Our 31-strong wills, trusts and probate team is part of the Home and Family division and also advises individuals, families, business owners, land and property owners, and farming families across the region on matters including powers of attorney, Court of Protection work, and the protection and transfer of wealth between generations.

The team also advises on contentious probate and trust matters, including challenge to wills and claims against estates.

Duncan Rawlinson, partner and head of our Home and Family division, said: “Jennifer has played an instrumental role over the last six months, not just in helping to establish and grow our Stoke office, but also in contributing to the wider development of our wills, trusts and probate services offering across the firm.

“We’re delighted Jennifer will now be leading our team, helping to enhance the support we provide to clients.”

Jennifer, who is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and student member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), added: “What drew me to Harrison Drury six months ago was the reputation the firm had for the quality of its legal services. It’s therefore a huge privilege to be asked to lead the wills, trusts and probate team.

“I’m looking forward to working even more closely with our colleagues across the North, and with specialists across the firm, as we further enhance the depth of advice and support available to our clients, particularly farming families, business owners and individuals seeking to protect wealth and make important decisions about succession and the future.”
