Nicola O’Donoghue

Nicola advises C-suite executives, founders and in-house teams on commercial contracts and strategic projects that drive revenue and reduce risk.

Trained at Slaughter and May, with an Oxford law degree and a Cambridge MBA, she spent six years in private practice and over fifteen years building and running her own business before returning to private practice in 2025.

Nicola works closely with start-ups and scale-ups to bring commercial cohesion, clear governance and profitability. Her work spans supplier and customer agreements, MSAs, SOWs, licensing and endorsements, shareholder arrangements and joint ventures. She also designs straightforward contract playbooks and negotiation frameworks so teams stop reinventing documents, deals move faster, and cash lands sooner. Clients value her pragmatic, business-focused advice grounded in top-tier training and hands-on operational experience.

Outside of work you can find me…

Nicola has a lifelong love of learning, travel and good food. She’s happiest exploring new places, sharing a meal with friends, or getting lost in a book. Weekends are often spent following Formula 1, watching Korean films, and catching up with family and friends.

She’s also a governor at the City of Liverpool College, where she channels her passion for education and helping others find opportunities to thrive.
