Harrison Drury helps secure future of global tech recruitment firm

Harrison Drury has worked alongside Manchester-based KR8 Advisory to successfully secure the future of Venturi, a global tech recruitment firm.

With operations in Manchester, the US and Germany, and with historical revenues in excess of £40m globally, the sale allows approximately 40 staff and 200 contractors to continue to grow the business across its global operations.

Venturi has deep expertise across high demand verticals such as data, analytics, ERP, CRM and software engineering, and boasts a portfolio of longstanding client relationships, including several blue-chip global brands.

Recent market challenges, as well as a change in key personnel, had led to a reduction in revenues, meaning the central UK business was unsustainable in its current form, despite management’s best efforts to reduce costs.

After a thorough marketing process, Mike Lennon and Jimmy Saunders of KR8 Advisory successfully sold the group’s business and assets to Org Group, a global organisational engineering firm which also owns the Morgan McKinley brand.

Harrison Drury’s insolvency and restructuring team – which included Peter Barlow, James Robbins, Heather Morris, and Charles Mather – worked alongside the team at KR8, including Matthew Mills and Lucy Edwards, to provide the necessary legal support for the transaction, which completed on May 13, 2025.

The team at Harrison Drury played a key role in facilitating the appointment of Mike and Jimmy as joint administrators of Venturi Limited, and then prepared and advised on the relevant sale documentation to ensure a seamless continuation of the business.
