Harrison Drury supports Rosemere Cancer Foundation

Share

Harrison Drury has made a £400 donation to an inspiring cancer treatment and research centre in Lancashire.

The firm decided to support the pioneering Rosemere Cancer Foundation because its work has touched the lives of numerous staff members and their families.

Pictured above (left to right) are Harrison Drury’s Kate Walmsley, Rebecca Patience, and Josephine Ryding, with Rosemere’s Cathy Skidmore.

Members of our community team were given a tour of Rosemere’s facilities when they visited to hand over a cheque to grants and corporate fundraiser Cathy Skidmore.

The money will be used to further improve facilities for patients and their families that use the treatment centre.

“We all know someone affected by cancer and that’s why Rosemere is close to all our hearts,” comments Kate Walmsley, operations administrator at Harrison Drury and a member of our community team.

“Rosemere does absolutely amazing work, not just in looking after patients and their families, but also conducting vital research into diagnosis and treatment. We’re proud to help Rosemere in our own small way and look forward to future opportunities to lend our support.”

Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring world class cancer treatments and services to cancer patients throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, the region’s specialist cancer treatment centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, and at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties, including that at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital.

The charity funds cutting edge equipment, research, training and other cancer services and therapies that the NHS is unable to afford.
