Helen Russell

HR Consultant

Employment

Professional Background:

Helen studied Management with Law and began her HR career in 2001, completing her CIPD Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel and Development (at University College Northampton) in 2005.  She also became a Chartered Member of the CIPD in 2005 and is now a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.

Helen has a long background of providing HR support for over 20 years, and gained a wealth of generalist experience as an HR practitioner.  She joined Harrison Drury as an HR Advisor in the Employment Team in December 2015 and, since then, has worked with a wide variety of clients from SME’s and owner managed businesses through to charities and large corporates, helping them to proactively manage their day to day HR function and address a wide range of issues as they arise, providing protection for their businesses.

She holds in-depth knowledge of the legal, commercial, HR and practical aspects of effective people management in all sorts of scenarios.  This means that she has the ability to use her particular skill set to provide commercially focused, effective, creative and protective advice to her clients, no matter what issue they face.

In addition, Helen’s close working with solicitors in the employment team means that they are able to supplement legal advice with practical HR support for clients. This enables clients to identify the best course of action, as well as receive the guidance and, where desired, the resource to implement it, providing them with an HR function where they do not have one in-house as well as the best chance of achieving their preferred outcome.

Personal Interests:

Outside of work, Helen enjoys many different activities.
