Leisure Sector Update: May Bank Holidays and TEN notices
Welcome to the Harrison Drury Leisure Sector Newsletter. Your regular update on legal developments across the leisure, hospitality and tourism sector. Our aim is to keep you informed, prepared and ahead of the curve with insights tailored to support you and your business.
The usual two May bank holidays, which can provide a welcome boost to trade, are fast approaching. As we mentioned in our previous update, feedback from the trade in many areas is that it is increasingly difficult to predict which nights will be busiest over a bank holiday weekend, so it is a good idea to check the timings and the non-standard timings on your premises licence, and to submit a TEN if you would benefit from more flexibility.
First comes the Early May bank holiday on Monday 6th May. For this, a standard TEN would need to be submitted by no later than 19th April, and a late notice TEN no later than 26th April.
Then comes the Spring bank holiday on Monday 27th May. A standard TEN would need to be submitted by no later than 10th May, and a late notice TEN no later than 17th May.
We have a team of solicitors across a range of legal disciplines all with significant experience in supporting businesses in the leisure sector. Meet our leisure sector team to see how our team can help support you. If you wish to subscribe to our leisure newsletter, please do so here.
