Leisure Sector Update: Easter and Temporary Event Notices

A short note about Temporary Event Notices given that Easter is fast-approaching. We regularly find that Good Friday is not included in a premises’ non-standard timings and that’s the case even more frequently with Maundy Thursday.
Feedback from the trade in many areas is that it is increasingly difficult to predict which nights will be the busiest over a bank holiday weekend, so you may be well-advised to check the timings and non-standard timings on your premises licence and submit a TEN if you need more flexibility.
For Maundy Thursday, a standard TEN would need to be lodged no later than 2nd April and a late notice TEN would need to be lodged no later than 9th April.
We have a team of solicitors across a range of legal disciplines all with significant experience in supporting businesses in the leisure sector. Meet our leisure sector team to see how our team can help support you. If you wish to subscribe to our leisure newsletter, please do so here.
