Welcome to the Harrison Drury Leisure Sector Newsletter. Your regular update on legal developments across the leisure, hospitality and tourism sector. Our aim is to keep you informed, prepared and ahead of the curve with insights tailored to support you and your business.
As Christmas is just around the corner, we urge you to check your premises licences to ensure you have the hours and activities required for any upcoming Christmas events.
If your premises licence and any deregulation does not cover the timings you require, or indeed cover you for any Christmas events such as Christmas markets or other outdoor events, you can apply for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN).
If you are proposing to rely on TENs over the Christmas period, here are some important dates to bear in mind, but please try and use the standard TENs where possible as there is no appeal process for late notice TENs:
| TEN Date | Last possible date to submit a TEN via a standard TEN | Last possible date to submit a TEN via a late TEN |
| Christmas Eve | 9th December 2025 | 16th December 2025
|
| Christmas Day

10th December 2025 | 17th December 2025 |
| Boxing Day | 10th December 2025 | 17th December 2025 |
| New Years Eve | 12th December 2025 | 19th December 2025 |
