Harrison Drury shortlisted for three Insider Dealmakers Awards

Harrison Drury has been shortlisted in three categories at the 2025 Insider North West Dealmakers Awards 2025.
The annual Dealmakers Awards ceremony celebrates the achievements of the North West’s leading corporate finance and legal advisory work, bringing together corporate financiers, accountants, bankers, funders, lawyers and M&A professionals.
Our corporate team has been recognised in two categories, the first being Deal of the Year (sub £10m) for advising Manchester-based digital commerce collective Dark Matter Commerce on its acquisition of performance marketing agency This is Digital.
We provided legal advice throughout the transaction, led by Mark Traynor, partner and head of the corporate team, Jennifer Murphy, senior associate solicitor, and Richard Williams-Bulkeley, solicitor.
They were supported by Emma Butterworth, partner in our employment team, and Danielle Jesson, solicitor in our commercial property team.
The second nomination is for International Deal of the Year, recognising our advisory role to Manchester-based Medicines Evaluation Unit (MEU), one of the UK’s leading early-phase clinical trials organisations, on the significant investment secured from IQVIA.
The deal was led by Richard Life, partner, Hayley Goodwin, partner, and Wendy Catterall, legal director, who provided tailored advice and support to MEU on the terms of the transaction.
They were supported by members of our employment team, including partners David Carmichael and Emma Butterworth, and trainee solicitor Sophie Holt-Rogers. Additional support came from Jennifer Potts, legal director, and Lara Watts, partner, from our commercial property team.
Finally, we have been shortlisted for Mid-size Law Firm of the Year, recognising both the significant growth we have achieved over the past two years and our continued commitment to delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal services to our clients.
Mark Traynor, partner and head of our corporate team, said: “Being recognised across three different categories is testament to the hard work and commitment of our brilliant team. It also highlights the quality of the M&A work that we are advising on.
“We’re especially proud to see our teams mentioned alongside deals that shine a light on the region’s strengths in digital and life sciences. Huge congratulations to all the nominees, and a big thanks to our clients and fellow advisers for their continued support and collaboration.”
Winners will be announced at the awards evening on 23 October 2025, with successful firms going forward to the 2026 UK Dealmakers Awards.
