We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Clare Fleming as a new director and head of our private client team.

Clare joins us after returning to Lancashire earlier this year having previously worked for over 15 years for several regional law firms in the South East of England.

She is no stranger to the region having graduated from Lancaster University in 2001.

Based at our Preston office, she will be manage our ten-strong private client team that looks after our clients across the North West region.

Clare specialises in inheritance tax planning, the drafting of wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and the administration of trusts and estates, with particular expertise in commercial and high-net-worth estates.

Speaking of her appointment, Clare said: “It’s wonderful to come back to the area where I studied nearly 20 years ago. Harrison Drury is a firm that’s deeply embedded in its local communities and that really appealed to me.

“The firm’s expertise in rural estate planning and landed estates also stood out for me when looking to come back to the area. I aim to continue to grow the team and to offer a range of lifetime planning services for our clients across all sectors.”

John Chesworth, our executive chairman, said: “Clare brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the team. Our private client service is an important area of the business that we are keen to develop further in rural areas and I believe she is the ideal person to make it possible.

“Her commercially-focussed approach and her experience gained working at a senior level in the South East will be a great asset to the firm.”

A lover of the fine arts, Clare enjoys spending her spare time in the countryside and exploring local history. She looks forward to combining her new role at Harrison Drury with rediscovering the culture and creative diversity offered by one of her favourite areas of England.
