Preston firms prepare for ‘Battle of the Bands’

Share

Harrison Drury joins Preston firms to rock out for charity later this month when they square up for a ‘battle of the bands’ contest.

Harrison Drury, RSM accountants and SHP Valuers have entered their own resident rock bands to compete in the Raise the Roof event for St Catherine’s Hospice.

The event will be held at Roper Hall in Preston, on Friday, February 28 and is open to the public to come along and enjoy the evening.

Harrison Drury’s band ‘Harrison Fury’ has previously won a couple of Law Rocks! competitions with its mix of classic rock and blues.

RSM’s Broad Shaw Green play hits including alternative rock and music from the 80s.

SHP Valuers, which specialise in property services, has entered its pub-rock band Sabotage, a talented line up that has been playing for nearly five years.

Harrison Drury’s executive chairman and guitarist John Chesworth said: “It’s always great to get the opportunity to perform on stage and have fun with our fellow professionals. We are proud to be joining up with our business partners to create both an entertaining evening and raising funds to support St Catherine’s Hospice. May the best band win!”

During the evening’s battle, fans will have the chance to make ‘donation’ votes to support their favourite band. The crowning winner will be determined by the band that raises the most money for the Hospice by the end of the night.

Doors open at 7.00pm with the entertainment starting at 8.00pm. Tickets are £10 each and can be booked online or paid by cash on the door. All proceeds from the evening will go towards St. Catherine’s Hospice.
