Law firm’s role in Rod Stewart tour success

Share

Global music star Rod Stewart has played three sold-out UK tour dates, thanks in part to the work of Harrison Drury.

Harrison Drury’s corporate team advised concert promoters Cuffe and Taylor on its contractual agreement with the singer, as well as deals with individual venues and ticketing company Ticketline.

Members of Harrison Drury’s team were at Rod’s gig at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool, on June 20 where he performed in front of 25,000 fans. This followed concerts in Brighton on June 13 and Stoke on June 14.

During a two-hour set Rod performed songs from his 29th and latest hit album, Time, as well as all his hits from the last 40 years.

David Edwards, associate solicitor at Harrison Drury, said: “We were very excited when we were asked to help Cuffe and Taylor stage concerts with one of Britain’s most famous stars and recognisable voices. As usual Rod didn’t disappoint. He was absolutely fantastic and we were proud to be part of such a special occasion.”

Peter Taylor, director of Cuffe and Taylor, said: “We are extremely pleased how the firm has dealt with the lengthy negotiations involved in such a complex agreement across multiple bespoke venues.”

Cuffe and Taylor was established in 2009 by Peter Taylor and Daniel Cuffe and the duo were instrumental in persuading opera superstar Lesley Garrett to appear at the Lytham Proms in 2010.

The business has since brought some of classical music’s biggest names, such as Russell Watson, Alfie Boe and Katherine Jenkins, to the annual concert, as well as a host of other famous pop and rock acts.

The award-winning business has since branched out into promoting other music events and shows across the UK.
