Produce Farmers Discount Scheme
Many farmers are under substantial economic pressure, with some farms considering selling up after hundreds of years of generation farming, and others are diversifying in order to try and survive the economic pressures.
In addition, there is the big unknown with the incoming Agricultural Bill which will have a major impact on farming subsidies as we know them. It is said to be the most significant piece of legislation in the agricultural world for over 70 years. We want to reassure our produce farmers that we understand the pressures they are facing, and want to assist them with any legal work they need at a substantial discount.
How will the discount work?
The discount can be used in relation to one new instruction between October 1st 2020 and January 1st 2021 for corporate or property related matters. The discount applied will be equal to 25% of the total time incurred during these dates up to a maximum total discount of £750.
A discount of up to 10% (capped at £200) is also available across a range of family and private client services for the duration of this promotion.
These discounts apply only to new matters from 1st October 2020 and do not apply to existing matters which run through this period. Discounts cannot be applied to disbursements.
Who can apply?
A Produce Farmer is a rural worker who, through an entity, partnership or independently, owns and/or leases the land as a tenant with the primary purpose of generating food and/or dairy produce for human consumption on a commercial basis.
**Where land is owned and/or leased by an entity, partnership or more than one Produce Farmer, the discount will be provided for only one Produce Farmer.
