Kate joins Harrison Drury’s employment team

Harrison Drury has appointed employment law specialist Kate Shawcross.

Kate, who joins as associate solicitor, will be based at our Lancaster office and will advise clients across north Lancashire and the South Lakes.

As part of Harrison Drury’s employment and regulatory team, Kate will work with clients on day-to-day employment and HR issues as well as TUPE and redundancy processes.

Kate qualified as a solicitor in 2010 while at JWK and joins after four years at Napthens solicitors.

She is a specialist in advising on employment aspects of business acquisitions and disposals as well as handling complex employment tribunal matters. Kate has also delivered seminars and training workshops on employment law and HR topics.

Head of employment and regulatory at Harrison Drury, said: “Kate has a wealth of knowledge from working closely with businesses to provide strategic guidance on all employment matters. Her experience in leisure and hospitality will also be a great asset to our team as this is a growth area for the firm.”

Kate, who originally comes from Stockport and now lives in Lancaster, added: “Working in employment and HR allows me to work closely with business owners and managers to solve problems and ultimately enable them to have better relations with their staff, which is very rewarding.
