Harrison Drury appoints new directors

The firm, which last month opened a new office in Lancaster, has given directorships to associate solicitors Colin Fenny and David Filmer.

Colin, 38, joined Harrison Drury in 2010 and has played a key role in expanding the firm’s commercial litigation team, representing clients in a number of high-profile construction, property and business disputes.

David, 35, joined the firm in 2010 and has been instrumental in the growth of the firm’s corporate and commercial offering, including his work on a significant number of mergers and acquisitions.

John Chesworth, managing director of Harrison Drury, said: “The firm has witnessed significant growth in the last few years, which has required us to develop our people right across the business. Colin and David have played a massive role in the firm’s ongoing success and I am very pleased to welcome them to the senior team.”

Colin, who lives in Southport said: “We have an experienced team here and we continue to develop a strong reputation for our work in a number of sectors. It is incredibly pleasing to be a part of this success story.”

David, who lives in St Annes, added: “It feels great to be made a director. We’ve seen a high number of new staff and clients joining the firm over the last couple of years and I am looking forward to helping the firm develop further.”

Harrison Drury has nine directors and a total of 40 staff at offices in Preston, Garstang, Lancaster and Kendal.
