Kendal’s chosen charity for 2024 is Carer Support South Lakes.

Harrison Drurys Kendal office are raising money throughout the year for their 2024 chosen charity, Carer Support South Lakes.

Through a combination of salary sacrifice, planned fundraising and volunteer work, the Kendal office aims to raise vital funds for the amazing service that Carer Support South Lakes Provides.

Previous causes we have supported:

Bendrigg Trust:

In 2023, our Kendal office raised money for Bendrigg Trust through various fundraising activites, including hosting and performing an evening of live music ‘Busking for Bendrigg’.

Animal Rescue Cumbria.

In 2022, our Kendal office raised vital funds for Animal Rescue Cumbria.

170 Mile West Highland to Great Glen Ways Walk

Lorna Hodgkinson from our Kendal office walked the West Highland and Great Glen Ways back-to-back covering 191 miles in the process.

The gruelling trek was completed over an 11-day period and raised an impressive £1,845 for North West Blood Bikes.

Lorna presented her cheque to North West Blood Bikes at their memorial ride on 5th May 2019.

Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge

A team of eight staff from Harrison Drury’s Kendal office tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday 2nd June, raising £1625, and still rising, for Kendal Mountain Search and Rescue Team (MSRT).

Amanda Marwood, Silas Heys, Lorna Hodgkinson, Rachel Taylor, Richard Blackburn, Robert Burn, Helen Maguire and Steph Heys walked the gruelling 24-mile route in 11 hours and 35 minutes.

Groups tackling the 5,200 foot ascent, which covers Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, usually aim to complete the challenge in under 12 hours.

Charity Gig

On April 20th, John Osborne, Kendal’s Branch lead and Family Director used his musical talents to raise money for Kendal Mountain Rescue teaming up with land and estate agents Armitstead Barnett to host concert which took place at The Box Theatre in Kendal.

Harrison Fury at Law Rocks ManchesterOver 100 people attended the gig by the five-piece band who played for free in support of the charity. Harrison Drury Director John Osborne performing as guitarist, lyricist and vocalist with the band.

The event helped to raise over £1,000 for Kendal Mountain Search and Rescue Team.
