Harrison Drury has bolstered its property litigation team with the appointment of experienced solicitor Laura Hallett Lea.

Laura joins the firm, based on Chapel Street, as an associate solicitor after eight years with Marsden Rawsthorn, also based in Preston.

Laura, who was born and bred in Preston, specialises in all aspects of property litigation. In her new role at Harrison Drury, she will deal with contested commercial lease renewals and dilapidations, residential property boundary disputes, and disputes relating to agricultural land.

Colin Fenny, a director at Harrison Drury, said: “Laura brings a wealth of experience with her so she is well placed to deliver expert legal services to those who need advice in this complex area of law.”

Laura added: “Harrison Drury has a longstanding reputation for the quality of its property litigation expertise. It’s great to be part of one of the region’s fastest growing law firms.”

The 32-year-old entered the law industry in 2007 after completing a Legal Practice Course at the University of Central Lancashire. Laura was promoted to trainee solicitor within a year and was heading up the property disputes team at Marsden Rawsthorn by 2012.

Laura, who attained a degree in law from the University of Newcastle in 2004, qualified as a solicitor in 2010 after completing her training contract.
