Preston-based commercial law firm Harrison Drury has been chosen to provide legal support for music legend Rod Stewart’s recently announced 2016 UK Hits Stadium Tour.

The firm has advised award-winning music promoters Cuffe and Taylor on its legal agreements with individual venues, as well as its contractual agreement with the global star for his latest line of performances.

The deal will see Rod Stewart stage eight outdoor concerts at football and cricket stadiums across the UK, as part of his UK Hits Tour in June next year.

Harrison Drury’s specialist leisure and tourism team has been instructed by Cuffe and Taylor on a number of deals recently, including a new five-year contract with Europe’s largest open air theatre.

The agreement will see Cuffe and Taylor exclusively present a number of high-profile concerts at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, with Simply Red already confirmed to perform at the venue in August 2016.

David Edwards, associate solicitor at Harrison Drury, said: “Cuffe and Taylor has continued to secure a number of deals to promote the performances of some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry.

“It’s great to be providing specialist legal advice to help Cuffe and Taylor cement its relationship with Rod Stewart, as well as helping the firm clinch a new exciting deal which will help stage big name acts at Scarborough Open Air Theatre.”
