Harrison Drury’s role in Lytham Proms success

The annual Lytham Proms concert has once again proved a huge success with over 30,000 people attending the three-night music extravaganza – and Harrison Drury playing its own role in the event.

The firm’s commercial team helped event promoter and organiser Cuffe and Taylor to negotiate a licence from Fylde Borough Council to stage the concerts on the historic Lytham Green at the beginning of August.

Meanwhile, David Edwards, associate solicitor at Harrison Drury, also advised on the necessary road closure application to facilitate the event, one of the largest live music gatherings in the region.

This year’s Lytham Proms was headlined by Tom Jones on the Saturday night, while other performers over the three nights included Michael Ball, The Hallé Orchestra, Hue and Cry, Heather Small, Captain Sensible, Atomic Kitten, Blue and The Christians.

Cuffe and Taylor has been staging the Lytham Proms since 2009 and it has attracted such famous classical performers as Lesley Garrett, Russell Watson, Alfie Boe and Katherine Jenkins, while popular acts have included Status Quo, Olly Murs, Boyzone, T’Pau, Rita Ora and The Real Thing.
