A team from Harrison Drury’s Kendal office will walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks in June to raise money for Kendal Mountain Search and Rescue Team (MSRT).
Amanda Marwood, Silas Heys, Lorna Hodgkinson and Rachel Taylor (Kendal team) and Richard Blackburn and Robert Burn (Preston team) will walk the gruelling 24-mile route that takes in Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in the Yorkshire Dales National Park on June 2nd.
Groups taking part in the challenge, which includes a total ascent of 5,200 feet, typically aim to complete the route in under 12 hours.
Kendal MSRT is one of Harrison Drury’s nominated charities for 2018. Its volunteers are on call 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year and the service requires £50,000 of funding annually to keep it running.
Lorna, an executive administrator at the firm, said: “Our team in Kendal is taking part in events throughout the year to raise money for this incredibly worthy, life-saving cause.
“We’ve been training hard over the past few months to prepare ourselves and hopefully we’ll all be in great shape for the challenge come the beginning of June.”
Anyone wishing to donate to the team’s Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Kendal MSRT can do so through the group’s Charity Choice fundraising page.
