The Harrison Drury annual corporate rugby day was, yet again, a great success.
Clients, referrers and staff turned out to watch an exciting game of rugby between Preston Grasshoppers and Rugby Lions. While the home side narrowly missed out on victory it did little to dampen the spirits of our guests.

We are delighted to announce that Harrison Drury & Co have achieved the governments Investors in People accreditation.
After several days of intensive auditing, which included the majority of our staff being interviewed at length, the assessor confirmed what we have known for a long time; that we really do value our team and are committed to investing in them.
Like every business our people are the firm’s most important asset and their ongoing development, which results in a better performing business, is a priority for us.
We will now of course be investing in some staff celebrations!

Harrison Drury’s managing partner John Chesworth has been named Intermediary of the Year at the 2008 North West Society of Chartered Accountants’ prestigious annual awards.
The awards ceremony, sponsored by regional magazine Lancashire Business View, recognises the region’s top lawyers, bankers and corporate financiers.
More than 300 guests attended the awards event staged at Ribby Hall, which was hosted by Granada TV’s news presenter, Lucy Meacock.
Judges were looking for intermediaries who had excelled within the professional services community and demonstrated a track record of “going the extra mile” on a variety of projects.
After the awards John said: “I am thrilled to win this award, especially as the competition in this category was so strong. It is a great honour to be named Intermediary of the Year and it’s a real accolade for everyone at the firm. We have been involved with some great businesses over the last year and these awards are down to the skill and support from all the staff at Harrison Drury.”

Yet more evidence that Lancashire business are thriving despite reports of a looming recession, is our announcement that we are taking on the economic slowdown and launching a new commercial law firm in East Lancashire. Greg Boyes and Andy Herricks will head up Harrison Drury LLP Solicitors, and will work in association with our Preston firm, Harrison Drury & Co.
John Chesworth said: “Our strategy has always been to expand the geographical reach of Harrison Drury and the opening of the associated East Lancashire office has enabled us to bring in two first class corporate and commercial lawyers who have a deep understanding of the needs of the local business community. We’ve created a business which doesn’t have the rigid configuration of a traditional professional practice. This gives us better business systems, quicker decisions and ultimately a better service to clients. Harrison Drury can now offer businesses and individuals across the North West the full range of legal services. It’s an exciting move.”
Greg Boyes said: “Whilst we are conscious of current economic uncertainty we believe that Harrison Drury is well positioned to advise those who are determined to succeed. There remains much business to be done.”
